Q) How many people are you able to cater for?
A) We are able to accommodate over 300 guests, ask upon booking for bespoke price!
Q) How much notice do I need to give?
Q) We are particularly busy during the summer months, so as much notice as possible is a sure way to book a Hearty Hog Roasts for you event. We have taken bookings two years in advance and even some two weeks before the event. Our aim is to offer a bespoke, unrivalled service and provide you with a stress free event. This is why we prefer to plan and discuss all of the aspects with you as early as possible.
Q) What happens if it rains?
A) Not a problem, we bring sturdy waterproof marquees to cover all our equipment to guarantee hot food as promised.
Q) Do I need to pay a deposit?
A) Yes, all Hearty Hog Roasts require a initial deposit of £100 to cover planning and initial produce procurement costs, the final total will be due fourteen days before the event.
Q)I'm a vegetarian, can I enjoy a hearty hog roast?
A) Of course! No one goes hungry at a Hearty Hog Roast. We offer a specific menu tailored to a variety of dietary requirements this includes the choice of fish, pasta, quorn and salads . All vegetarian meals are prepared separately.
Q) My garden is only small, can I have a hearty hog roast?
A) Not a problem, we only need 3m x 3m for a safe operating area. If this is still a issue we can cook all food offsite and serve as normal. However, we can always inspect the premises before the event.
Q) Some of my friends have a gluten allergy, can they have a hearty hog roasts?
A) Yes, we can tailor our menu to suit any guests dietary requirements be it intolerance or allergy.
Q) I've only got a small garden gate, will the hog roast machine fit through?
A) Our machine is 2m long x 35 inches wide it will usually fit through a standard gate/doorway. If you foresee this to be an issue we can inspect the premises beforehand or cook the food offsite.
Q) I have specific diety requirements, can you accommodate this?
A) Yes, we will always do our best to cater for everyone at a Hearty Hog Roast. We have an ingredients list for all of our produce and able to source alternate meats to accommodate for dietary requirements.
Q) What methods of payment do you take?
A) We accept cash, cheque, PayPal, Bank Transfer, and all major debit cards.
Q) How many servings does each person get at a Hearty Hog Roast?
A) We always anticipate hungry guests this is why we have plenty of rolls and meat for everyone to eat as much as they like. Within reason of course!
Q) What happens to the left over’s from the Hog Roast or BBQ?
A) We will plate up what we can and leave it for you and your guest to grab second helpings. All bones and rubbish will be disposed off appropriately by ourselves and If any equipment is left, we will collect it the following day.
Q) How long does the services last? And what happens after the event?
A) The service usually lasts about 2 hours, after that we will clean the operating area and clear away the equipment leaving you to enjoy your event.
Q) Do you offer other types of meat?
A) Yes, we offer a variety of meats including Pork, Beef and Lamb. All sourced from local farmers or sustainable suppliers.
Q) Does a Hearty Hog Roast require power?
A) Not necessarily, the hog roast runs off propane gas. So we do not require electricity. However, it is preferred as we have our own lights for the chef and display. If electricity is not available we can bring our own generator.
Q) Can I book online?
A) Yes you can book online via email and we'll be in touch as soon as possible regarding availability. However, we would prefer to discuss our service either face to face or over the phone as we tailor our menu and service to your taste and requirements. Although, we are more than happy to discuss any bookings via email.
